The Developer Analyst supports Graybar Canada's business by using technologies to develop process, handle our daily DevOps and cloud operations duties, work with internal teams and modernize business processes through automation and workflow development.

Position Summary




Working alongside numerous business units and the Information Technology teams, the

Developer Analyst

will support Graybar Canada's business by using technologies to develop process, handle our daily DevOps and cloud operations duties, work with internal teams and modernize business processes through automation and workflow development. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, business process oriented, and is eager to automate.

Major Responsibilities:



Understand business processes and develop code to support and automate them. Ensure code quality, security, and scalability. Requirements and code documentation. Recommend the proper environment to deploy the code (ERP, CRM, Fabric, external code, etc.). Analyze and resolve automation software issues. Design software solutions in accordance with enterprise leading practices and design principles. Identify and communicate risk associated with process automation. Build, test, and deploy automation processes including integration and unit testing. Work with internal and external resources to deploy custom developed processes and applications. Support skills transfer by mentoring newly trained resources on best practices and development techniques. Learn new programming languages when needed. Use AI to speed up development, testing, and documentation when possible.

Preferred Skills & Experience



Post secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field of study. General understanding of IT standards and development best practices. Knowledge of software architecture patterns and practices. Strong development competence. Strong Database knowledge such as SQL and PostgrSQL. Knowledge in application deployment automation (CI/CD). Strong knowledge with API and web communication protocols. Experience working with cloud services. Experience working with ERP, CRM, eCommerce, EDI, Punchout, and Product Information Management (PIM) systems. Knowledge of business process modelling and reengineering. Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience. Dedicated and punctual. Strong communications, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Highly self-motivated and detail oriented. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Experience working with Infor CSD, Salesforce, MS Fabric, Python, and PowerApps are considered assets.
