The ideal candidate would be someone with strong expertise in Microsoft operating system as well as hands-on experience working with computers, peripherals and mobility devices.

The CGI Desktop teams are responsible for providing Level 2 IT support to our clients to resolve incidents and fulfill work orders & tasks; our team is comprised of dynamic, passionate people with a focus customer service while providing IT expertise to make the client experience a positive one!

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Desktop Technician is part of the GTO Canada End User Services team.
The member will be responsible for supporting our client based in Laval, Quebec

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting desktop and laptop
  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC equipment.
  • The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Provide end-user assistance where required.
  • Manage and track inventory
  • Managing phone system, printers, mobiles and other equipment
Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Mandatory Technical Skills:
  • Windows 10, Windows 7
  • Antivirus
  • Office Suites 365
  • Knowledge of Computer hardware
  • Knowledge of networking principles
  • Ticketing system (Remedy is an asset)
Soft skills:
  • Customer service oriented
  • Professional appearance since this is a client facing role
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
  • Must be able to meet scheduled deliverables
  • Team player

  • Resourceful
Other requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
