Forge Performance Group is a Talent Management solutions team dedicated to providing our clients with highly skilled professionals well-matched to unique hiring needs, culture and goals. Our client Hemi IT Solutions is currently looking for a Desktop Support Technician.
Role: Desktop Support Technician Work Location: Calgary AB. Combination of in-office, remote & local client site work Hemi IT Solutions is seeking an entry-level Desktop Support Technician to join their team. If you are the go-to problem solver for all IT-related issues within your network, if you are easy-going and enjoy interacting with others, this role may be for you! Duties:

• Provide information technology support for a variety of companies,
• Ensure all Helpdesk calls are properly entered into ConnectWise ticketing system and completed in a timely manner
• Diagnose & resolve technical problems
• Basic network administration
• Respond to user needs in a timely manner
• Any other related IT duties
• Interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner
• Listen to the technical needs of the client, offer suggestions & implement solutions
• Work under limited supervision

Experience & Qualifications:

• Appropriate relevant technical degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized educational institution
• Previous experience as a Desktop Support Technician is preferred, but a combination of personal experience + education will also be considered
• Computer networks & systems maintenance experience
• Desktop support experience
• Microsoft O365 experience (Email, Sharepoint, websites, Azure)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Good problem solving skills
• Access to a reliable vehicle is required, along with a valid driver's license.
