Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires excellent administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly valued. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out, supporting the overall operations of the dental office.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment. Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages accurately. Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using systems such as Cleardent. Training is available Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently while managing the appointment calendar. Collect patient payments, process billing, and handle financial transactions accurately. Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations and office policies. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry to support daily office operations. Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow and patient care continuity. Handle front desk duties including checking in patients, updating medical history forms, and managing patient flow.

Skills



Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office setting. Strong knowledge of dental practice management software such as Cleardent familiarity is a plus. training is available. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care to facilitate accurate record keeping and communication. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to manage scheduling and administrative tasks efficiently. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Previous experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment is preferred but not required. Pay: $21.26-$24.00 per hour
