Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate dental/medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills and proficiency with Cleardent management system The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient service.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive patient experience. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms. Verify insurance coverage and benefits and other third-party providers. Collect payments and process dental billing. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical histories. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries effectively. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding for procedures and diagnoses. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and ensure timely patient care plans.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist Strong knowledge of dental terminology Proficiency with systems such as Cleardent, Dentrix, CDCP Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry tasks. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior experience in dental office or clinic environment highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.32-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
