Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and maintaining efficient office operations.

Duties



Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel appointments using practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages accurately Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accordingly Collect payments, process billing, and handle financial transactions at the front desk Maintain organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies

Skills



Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office setting Proficiency with dental practice management software And recall max assist Strong knowledge of medical and dental terminology and electronic medical records systems Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally Familiarity with insurance verification processes and billing procedures Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Previous experience with administrative tasks in a dental setting is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$32.01 per hour
