Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, managing appointments, patient check-ins, and administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical office procedures, and proficiency in various office management systems. The Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient service.

Minimum of 2 years prior work in a North American dental facility.

Responsibilities



Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment. Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages accurately. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using AbelDent. Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accordingly. Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing transactions efficiently. Maintain organized patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with administrative duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day. Handle incoming correspondence and manage office supplies inventory.

Qualifications



Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is required. Proficiency with AbelDent software is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and electronic medical records systems. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records. Exceptional communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, staff, and vendors. Experience operating multi-line phone systems in a fast-paced environment. Office experience demonstrating administrative competence is required. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
