Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Dental Floater to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various dental specialties, including orthodontics and pediatrics, and will be comfortable transitioning between roles as needed. This position requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists and dental hygienists during procedures to ensure optimal patient care. Float between different areas of the practice, providing support in various specialties such as orthodontics and pediatrics. Manage patient flow by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic. Perform basic dental assisting tasks, including taking X-rays, sterilizing instruments, and preparing patients for examinations. Serve as a dental receptionist when needed, handling scheduling, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks. Stay updated on medical terminology and best practices in dental care to provide informed support to the team.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable. Strong understanding of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dental assisting practices. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
