We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant/Steri Tech to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, ensure infection control standards, and assist with patient care in a fast-paced environment. Duties
Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed
Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper safety protocols
Record vital signs and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation within Cleardent software.
Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment
Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care
Operate dental equipment such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners efficiently
Perform general administrative tasks related to medical records management and scheduling as needed
Maintain inventory of supplies and sterilization materials
Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Cleardent, experience with dental terminology is a plus
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices
Ability to perform X-ray imaging and operate medical imaging equipment safely
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental records management
Excellent chairside assisting skills, including proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures
Ability to take vital signs accurately and understand dental terminology relevant to dental care
Effective communication skills suitable for working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics
Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment preferred (+ 1 year)
Proficient command of the English Language
