We are seeking a fun, reliable and hardworking Dental Assistant to join our growing team in a fast-paced dental office environment. We are looking for a level 2 dental assistant that is comfortable working as a floater and helping out with all aspects of the dental office. The dental assistant will be split 50/50 between assisting at the front desk and assisting chair side and with sterilization. Hours are Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm and Fridays 8am-2pm.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records systems.
Manage phone systems, handling incoming calls, inquiries, and appointment requests efficiently.
Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date within the practice management software such as ClearDent and Max Assist.
Process patient information and insurance claims while adhering to privacy regulations.
Provide information about dental procedures, office policies, and payment options to patients.
Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure a seamless patient flow throughout their visit.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist in a medical office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry is highly desirable.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as ClearDent and Max Assist.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Knowledge of phone systems and administrative procedures relevant to a dental office setting.
