We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but not mandatory.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with dental software such as Abeldent or Epic is a plus.
Experience in specialized areas such as Orthodontics or Pediatrics is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred.
