Overview:
Certification (Level 1 or level 2 / HARP) is a must.
Pay negotiable as per the experience.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients to the dental office, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere
- Assist in preparing patients for treatments or checkups, prioritizing patient comfort
- Set up instruments, equipment, and materials required for procedures
- Adhere to strict sterilization protocols for instruments in compliance with regulations
- Support the dentist during procedures utilizing 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Perform lab tasks as directed by the dental team
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental room, ensuring adequate stock of supplies
- Manage appointment scheduling and handle phone calls as needed
- Update and maintain accurate patient records with attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with a minimum of 1 -2 years of assisting experience preferred.
- Certification with the Ontario Dental Assistants Association
- National Dental Assisting Examining Board Certificate (NDAEB)
- HARP approved
- Familiarity with Dental receptionist duties is an asset
