Working in the Merchandising and Corporate Technology team, the Delivery Lead has end-to-end accountability for the delivery of technology solutions that facilitate customer-focused outcomes for our business partners.
As a leader-from-within the Pod, the Delivery Lead will:
Provide a high level of relationship management, resolving conflicts and enabling discussions between stakeholders, management, colleagues, and Pod members with varied interests.
Identifies dependencies with other Pods and determines how to manage those dependencies without impacting the progress of the Pod. Works with other Pods to deliver features on which they are dependent. Creates and maintains the Pod Release Board.
Creates metrics and tools or ensure adoption of the Agile COE metrics and tools, to measure success and recognize progress of the squads within the Pod. Has the ability to identify and utilize beneficial metrics, interpreting them and course correcting.
Applies a structured approach to problem-solving, understands the context and impact of risks and issues, and takes real measures to get to resolution.
Attends Squad stand ups, demo\xe2\x80\x99s, retrospectives regularly, listens to and support all teams in the identification of problems and decision-making.
Constructs an environment that fosters mutual influence.
Encourages the development of each person as well as the Pod as a whole.
Think of the big picture, beyond the day-to-day activities; practice systems thinking.
This Delivery lead:
Is accountable for managing the Pod budget, provides continuous monitoring of project financials for Management oversight, refreshes internal systems on a timely manner to reflect changes when it comes to project financials, maintains collaboration with stakeholders when gaps are identified during month end budget review meetings.
Works closely with product owner to ensure project financials is in alignment with overall approved budget.
Adheres to the Product Engineering guidelines concerning project deliverables, funding requirements and status reporting.
Will continuously evolve the Agile capabilities of the team, focus on team dynamics, remove impediments to success, and coordinate dependencies across Pods.
As part of the Delivery Excellence Chapter, the Delivery Lead will contribute to the Chapter\xe2\x80\x99s body of knowledge and best practices, and as a senior member of the Chapter will coach and mentor other Scrum Masters on Agile and Lean values, practices, and processes. Ensures that the Agile pod is staffed, effective, productive, and focused on the sprint goals and customer outcomes.
The Delivery Lead will strive for continuous improvement. Create and execute on a retrospective improvement roadmap for items that are beyond the scope of Scrum Masters or aligned to an overall transformation.
The Delivery Leads are responsible for facilitation of Quarterly Planning events (Big Room Planning). They must create and communicate the annual planning calendars for Sprints and Releases as well as coordinate activities leading up to the Quarterly Planning Events while ensuring Scrum Masters are properly preparing their Squads, establishing clear signals for readiness, and summarizing the Quarterly Objectives and publishing them to provide visibility and transparency.
What you bring
Domain Expertise:
5+ years of relevant work experience with Agile
Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSM) or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) or equivalent formal education in Agile is an asset.
Specific experience in Agile methodologies such as SAFe is an asset.
Experience with Retail / Merchandising Technology is a strong asset for this role.
Agile/Technology Experience:
Knowledgeable about various Agile methodologies and experienced in coaching Scrum and Kanban teams.
7+ years of delivery or software development background. Education in Computer Science or similar is preferred.
