Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the deli operates smoothly.
Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions
- Assist customers in selecting deli products and provide recommendations
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Prepare and package food items according to established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitize work areas
- Uphold food safety standards at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
Skills
- Experience in cash handling and using POS systems preferred
- Proficiency in basic math for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and restaurant operations
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to sanitize work areas effectively
- Strong customer service skills to interact with patrons in a friendly manner
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.50-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 37.5 per week
