Pay

: $17.85 to $19.00 per hour (depending on experience) + 4% vacation pay + share of tips pool

Shifts

: Noon to 5pm, Mondays, Tuesdays and some Wednesdays

The Job

Our Deli & Kitchen Assistant prepares food, assists customers, keeps our Deli & Kitchen clean and stocked and our customers happy! Training will be provided in food preparation, kitchen cleaning & sanitation, customer service and of course cider! This is a great part-time job working with a positive group of people in a gorgeous setting. Other benefits:

About You

You are a customer service star and a stickler for cleanliness who is friendly and hard working, and you enjoy working in commercial kitchens or grocery delis. In addition you have:

Education

: Food Safe Level 1 - required; post secondary training in commercial kitchens - preferred; Serving it Right and First Aid Certification - an asset;

Vocational experience

in a commercial kitchen, restaurant or deli - required.

Communication skills

: Demonstrated success in teamwork.

Personal aptitude

: Reliable! Open to feedback! Able to work well with others and to "roll up your sleeves" to get the job done!

Work week availability:

Able to work day-time shifts Monday through Wednesday. Additional shifts available, especially during the High Season.

Physicality

: The physical strength to safely lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 kg); work on your feet for hours at a time; perform frequent physical movements in a kitchen throughout the day and to work indoors and outdoors, rain or shine.

A Health & Safety

mindset and experience with cleaning & sanitation protocols in a commercial kitchen or deli

Continuous Improvement:
