We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized deli area.

Duties

Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring freshness and quality. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing transactions. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and assisting with their orders. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the deli section.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with cashiering duties is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation standards is beneficial. A passion for the food industry and serving customers is essential.
