We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deck Builder helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures with precision and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of various building techniques, tools, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality workmanship across diverse projects. The Builder will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to deliver exceptional results on time and within scope.
Duties
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute building projects accurately
Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively
Perform concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as required
Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and other building elements
Conduct masonry work including bricklaying and concrete work
Apply caulking, painting, and other finishing techniques to ensure a polished appearance
Assist in estimating project costs and materials based on schematics and plans
Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics
Experience with carpentry, masonry, electrical work, plumbing, welding, and flooring installation
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying techniques
Skilled in construction estimating and project planning
Familiarity with construction painting and restoration processes
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various construction environments
