Classification: Full Time and Part Time, Onsite

Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00/ Hourly

Position Overview:

As a Dealership Accounting Clerk you will be responsible for general accounting functions, reporting and store operational accounting. You will use a variety of computerized systems to complete your work. You will be expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

:
  • Analyze financial transactions and accounts to determine accuracy and completeness of entries
  • Process wholesale deals
  • Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
  • Research and respond to accounting inquiries from various personnel. Communicate findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Develop an in-depth working knowledge of all operational and accounting computer software/equipment systems that impact the accounting and financial reporting processes
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met in accordance with department closing dates
  • Prepare various other monthly account reconciliations which may include receivables, payables, accrued expenses, and other accounts
  • Other special projects, reports, tasks, and financial assessments as assigned by the Office Manager or Controller
  • Assist with the accounting of inventory categories and cleaning of schedules
  • Answer customer inquiries in regard to deal funding, warranty cancellations, receivables and titling fees
  • Earns the trust of others through open, honest communication and follow through
  • Will assist with receivables, warranty cancellations, cashiering and inventory as needed
  • Maintains working knowledge of control policies and procedures as established by the company and required to be followed by all locations
  • Plans work and schedules activities, so deadlines and objectives are met
  • Promote fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures
  • Accountable to act with integrity, adhere to company expectations of performance and behavior, abide by work rules and demonstrate high standards of moral and ethical conduct at all times
  • Maintains confidentiality of all company information, is forthcoming in reporting all policy and procedural violations and any financial discrepancies to the Controller
Requirements:
  • Two years of experience in the automotive accounting industry, CDK experience a huge plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a high level of proficiency in Excel
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to research complex issues and implement solutions
  • Be prepared to work extended hours when necessary to achieve goals
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Excellent document creation and proofreading skills with a high level of proficiency related to business correspondence/communications
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines
