Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks in a childcare facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient food service process. This role is essential for independently maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety while supporting the daycare staff in delivering exceptional meals.

Responsibilities

Assist in food service preparation, including taking temperatures, plating meals, keeping track of the number of children, and allergies. Help with cleaning and organization of food service independently or under the supervision of the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Support meal preparation by assembling meals and ensuring they are ready for service. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored properly. Collaborate with daycare staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is essential. Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
