Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Center Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center and out of school program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and a commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with childcare standards, and fostering positive relationships with families and the community.

Duties



Provide overall leadership and direction for the center, ensuring high-quality care and safety for children. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff members to promote professional development and team cohesion. Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education best practices. Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies. Foster positive relationships with families, addressing concerns and communicating regularly about children's progress. Manage administrative tasks including enrollment, record keeping, and budgeting. Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours. Promote an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities. Lead community outreach efforts to build partnerships and enhance program visibility.

Requirements



Level 3 Childcare Certification Proven experience in early childhood education. Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special needs. Strong background in caregiving within early childhood settings. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing staff and program operations. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and educational standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and community partners. Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and staff alike. First Aid CPR/AED Level C Police and Vulnerable Sector clearance within the last 3 months
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
