Lonza Kingston is IMMEDIATELY hiring a Database Analyst to join Lonza\'s Personalized Medicine Innovation team, for a 6-month contract position. This Database Analyst position provides an opportunity to work directly with scientists while learning about cutting edge technologies in the field of cell and gene therapy.

Our goal is to increase our capabilities while maintaining our platform as the market-leading platform for patient-scale cell therapy manufacturing.

This position is located on site at our Kingston office. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30a-5:00p.

Key responsibilities:

• Aid with database management, data collection, and data organization
• Enter and update database with prescribed data, and review a variety of stored documents against each case to ascertain correct data input requirements. Transfer files as required.
• Classify information in order to enter data accurately.
• Verify data by reviewing and amending data.
• Comply with data integrity and data protection policies, ensuring sensitive information is kept confidential and discretion is applied.
• Be proactive in highlighting and communicating problems/potential problems in a timely manner.

Key requirements:

• High school diploma required. Degree in life sciences, preferred.
• Some knowledge in cell biology and cell characteristics required.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of biological processes.
• Must be able to recommend best practices in linking multiple databases.
• Some working experience with database maintenance, reporting methods and data entry required.
• Advanced level MS office suite especially Excel required; MS Power BI is a plus.
• Knowledge and ease of use of formulas/graphing/visual summaries helpful to use/additions to database required.
• Basic-level experience with scientific methods required.
• Problem solving, critical thinking, team collaboration, good communication and organizational skills required.
