IT Security Policy Analyst (Hybrid, Ottawa) - 6 Month Contract - 16678

About the Opportunity

Our reputable Ottawa based client has an Immediate requirement for a IT Security Policy Analyst to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established Organization that is embarking on multi-year, long term Projects. The Cybersecurity Policy Analyst will be instrumental in developing a mature cyber security policy and compliance program.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide strategic vision for a robust policy and compliance program
• Preferred, proven experience in technical writing
• Lead discussions with SMEs, policy counterparts, and management to enhance policies and standards, based on ISO 27001
• Develop new and update existing cyber security related policy content
• Coordinate the deployment and the publishing of cyber security policy documents

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Post-secondary degree in information systems or a related field of study; or combination of education, training, and cyber security certifications.
• 5+ years of experience working in cyber security with the last 2+ years focusing on writing cyber security policies and communicating those policies.
• Proven track record of leading policy development and compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of industry threats, trends, regulations, and laws.
• Must be eligible for a Government of Canada Clearance and be able to work in a Hybrid capacity at their Ottawa Location

About the Job

Our client is offering a competitive compensation. Candidates must be local to Ottawa as this will be a Hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite 1 - 2 days per week.
