The successful candidate will ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture
Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture framework, including data models, pipelines, and storage solutions.
Ensure scalability, performance, and security of data platforms leveraging Microsoft Fabric.
Data Engineering
Lead the design and development of data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
Implement best practices for CI/CD, medallion architecture, and real-time analytics using Fabric components (Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Power BI).
Data Governance
Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
Utilize Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage, classification, and compliance management.
Drive initiatives for data quality, stewardship, and ownership across business units.
Leadership & Collaboration
Manage and mentor an internal data team while using externals where necessary.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to align data strategy with business goals.
Act as a data culture advocate, promoting best practices and continuous improvement while providing strong communication skills with leadership and end users.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in data architecture, data engineering, and data governance roles.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Data Activator, Power BI) and Microsoft Purview (Data Map, Unified Catalog, Compliance Manager).
Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and pipeline orchestration.
Familiarity with security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management in data environments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI-driven analytics and Copilot integration in Microsoft Fabric.
Certifications in Microsoft Fabric, Purview, or related data governance frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and hybrid data architectures.
