What you will do
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for the operations of the Data Center infrastructure components, including but not limited to Mechanical Systems; Chillers, CRAC, CRAH, pumps, condensers and Electrical Systems; UPS, Generators, ATS, batteries and DC plants.
Install AC and DC circuits from the PDU to the Customer Cabinets
Manage all aspects of the Electrical operations within the Data Centers, and facilities to include: UPS Systems, 13.2kW transformers, 480V and Distribution Systems, PDUs/RPCs, Building Electrical
Manage and track cooling capacity, temperatures and efficiency throughout the Data Centers
Manage and track electrical capacity, UPS loads, customer consumption and breaker availability
Maintain detailed site specification documentation of As-Builts, Single-Lines and pre-sales spec sheets
Plan physical environment installs including capacity expansions, system upgrades, and new CRAC, In-Row cooling, UPS, distribution panels, etc.
Participate in equipment startup and commissioning.
Lead the troubleshooting process and repairs in the event of equipment failure or other incidents. Make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Optimize cooling and electrical distribution for optimal PUE
Manage and document vendor-provided preventive maintenance per the manufacturer's specifications
Review and approve all facilities maintenance tasks/MOPS when required as part of the change management system
Propose improvements in terms of urbanization, cabling organization or any client-installed component
Oversee and monitor all facilities record-keeping and update dashboards related to this field of work
Maintain accurate site documentation, including maintenance records, power consumption, temperature trends, and PUE trends.
Ensure that best practices are adhered to in areas of cooling and electrical documentation.
Participate in pre-sales engineering of Customer solutions
Manage installs against aggressive schedules
Participate in facilities post-incident reviews as required
Participate in regular facility audits
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
Master Electrician. Red Seal Certified - Active Electrician License Required. Minimum 5 years of work experience in managing mission-critical facilities. Knowledge of telecommunications and data center operations. A combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Experience in large, complex construction projects
Ability to read and comprehend single-line diagrams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Driver's license, ability to drive
Comfort in working in a fast-paced 24/7 environment
