What you will do
The Data Analyst gathers, compiles, and analyzes data for strategic decision-making, performance measurement, and continuous organizational improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, an organized, process-driven approach, and the ability to communicate and present data visually. The position holder is user-centric, technology-savvy, adaptable, and collaborates with internal stakeholders.
In this role you will:
Execute the organization's data strategy, which guides the collection, management, and use of data to inform library services, planning, and community impact
Collect, clean, and prepare data from various library platforms and sources for analysis; perform routine data audits to ensure ongoing data accuracy
Conduct in-depth analysis of service data, usage patterns, and digital engagement to identify improvement insights
Maintain data collection frameworks and dashboards to monitor digital service performance, user satisfaction, and overall organizational effectiveness
Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to ensure analysis is accurate, relevant, and aligned with projects or organizational objectives
Design and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data collection processes, promoting transparency and reproducibility
Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging digital technologies and AI tools to optimize user engagement and internal productivity within library services
What you bring
Post Secondary Degree (preferably in Data Analysis/Data Science, Information Science, Public Administration, Computer Science or Social Sciences).
1-2 years of work experience in quantitative data analysis and performance measurement
Experience designing and producing reports and publishing data dashboards
Advanced skills in data cleaning, data collection and visualization
Advanced skills in Excel, CSV, SQL databases
Experience in Microsoft 365, PowerBI and Power Query Editor
