About the Role:


We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst to join our cannabis operations team. This role is perfect for students/recent graduates interested in the fast-growing cannabis sector, with opportunities to work across production, finance, and supply chain operations. You'll gain hands-on experience with data analytics, automation, and financial systems like QuickBooks, while supporting critical business decisions in a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:



Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize key cannabis production, sales, and operational metrics. Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline data collection, processing, and compliance reporting. Conduct data analysis using advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex data modeling Clean and prepare data for reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Support accounting team by integrating data insights with financial reporting tools like QuickBooks. Assist in cost tracking and margin analysis for SKUs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps, optimize processes, and improve operational efficiency. Generate insights from large datasets to support decision-making and business growth. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting data management and reporting.

Skills and Qualifications:



Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX formulas, data transformation, and report design. Experience with Power Automate for building automated workflows and process improvements. Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation). Willingness to learn accounting basics and financial software like QuickBooks. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical audiences. Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently. Interest in the cannabis industry and its unique operational challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:



Basic understanding of manufacturing and processing operations. Knowledge of Canadian cannabis regulations and compliance requirements. Previous experience or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis. Familiarity with ERP systems or financial data management tools. Previous internship or project experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
