What's the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Data Administrator is responsible for designing, building and maintaining Stride's database systems. This role ensures database performance remains strong and performs tests and modifications to ensure any problems are corrected.
What you'll get to do:
Design and build databases from business requirements.
Proficiently maintain Stride's Data Warehouse.
Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
Design and optimize database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
Optimize SQL queries and database performance tuning techniques.
Create and maintain SQL query libraries.
Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures, as applicable.
Stay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices, recommending improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Summarize findings and communicate issues as they arise and suggest ways to improve workflow.
Respond to general inquiries and requests for information.
Manage the data classification module within the department.
Who are we looking for?
You have 2+ years of experience, as a Database Administrator or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
You have a strong understanding of database concepts, principles, and best practices.
You are proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
You possess strong communication and collaboration abilities, and can work effectively within a team environment.
You have experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
You are an advanced user of MS-Suite especially MS Excel.
Knowledge of statistics and Python would be an asset
