Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with children in an educational setting. This role requires creativity, patience, and the ability to inspire young dancers while fostering a love for movement and expression. As a Dance Instructor, you will play a crucial role in developing students' skills and confidence through engaging lessons.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement dance lesson plans that cater to various skill levels and age groups. Teach a variety of dance styles, ensuring that classes are fun, educational, and safe. Provide individualized attention to students, offering constructive feedback to enhance their technique. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and fosters creativity. Collaborate with other instructors to organize performances, recitals, or showcases for students. Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress and class activities. Ensure the safety of all students during classes by adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

Proven experience in dance instruction or tutoring, particularly with children. Background in early childhood education is preferred but not mandatory. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively. A passion for educating others about dance and movement. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Creativity in lesson planning and teaching methods to keep students motivated. Experience in cooking or preparing healthy snacks for students during breaks is a plus.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

Evening shift Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
