Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with children. This role involves teaching various dance styles, fostering a love for dance, and creating a positive learning environment for students of all ages. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in educating and inspiring young dancers while ensuring their safety and enjoyment during classes.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging dance lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Teach various dance styles, including ballet, acro and hip-hop while ensuring proper technique and form. Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student confidence and creativity. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Help organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other events as well as assist in filling a dance roster Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, class schedules, and any concerns.

Qualifications

Proven experience in teaching dance to children or youth is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively. Ability to create lesson plans that are educational, fun, and age-appropriate. Experience in classroom management and fostering positive relationships with students. A passion for educating young dancers and promoting the arts within the community.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

Evening shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
