Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Herder to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing livestock, ensuring their safety and well-being while maintaining the integrity of the farm operations. This role requires a strong understanding of animal behavior, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate farm machinery effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily activities of livestock, en, and cared for appropriately.
• Utilize various herding techniques to guide animals to designated areas for grazing or shelter.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors and other equipment necessary for livestock management.
• Perform regular health checks on animals and report any signs of illness or distress to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to feeding, moving animals, or maintaining farm infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other farm staff to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating farm machinery.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Strong understanding of animal behavior and husbandry practices is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
