Job Description

Biggs Farms Ltd is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Labourer to join our farm team. The successful candidate will assist with daily farm operations including field work, harvesting, equipment maintenance, and livestock. This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant, fertilize, cultivate, and assist during harvest season. Assist with dairy operations when required Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm maintenance such as, field work, spreading manure and cleaning barns or pens. Assist with grain center operations (loading and unloading trucks) Follow health and safety procedures and biosecurity measures.

Requirements:

Previous experience in farming or agricultural labour (preferred but not required). Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Willingness to work in various weather conditions (sun, rain snow). Team player with a strong work ethic. Basic understanding of farm equipment and tools (preferred). Indoor & outdoor work in all seasons. May involve early mornings, weekends, and overtime during peak seasons.

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid driver's license . Class 1 license with clean driving abstract (an asset but not required)
Salary based on experience - $20 -$25/hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed
