Description

Our client, a leading Steel Service Center in North America has been in business since the early 1940\'s. They provide a wide range of mill-certified carbon steel products to customers within the Agriculture, Construction, and Mining Machinery industries.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage internal networks (LANs, WANs, and Wireless Network Segments), not limited to, but including all routers, firewalls, switches, AP\'s, and backup solutions
- Configure and maintain security devices and appliances as well as provide general knowledge and recommendations for security best practices to the IT Director as required
- Assist in the design and implementation of company\'s Cybersecurity strategies and policies
- Assist in the procurement of hardware and services at the direction of the IT Director
- Evaluate, test, and implement solutions for enhancing software & hardware network, and IT processes at the direction of the IT Director
- Perform scheduled vulnerability assessments to identify threats, weaknesses and areas for improvement, then remedy them
- Review third party contracts to ensure the appropriate security and considerations are taken into place
- Use tools to provide timely detection, identification, and alerts of possible attacks / intrusions.
- Assist in the management of Microsoft Active Directory Services, Group Policies, Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Azure services, as well as the design, implementation and support of the company\'s network infrastructure and services.
- Have Hands-on experience in administration of all on-prem and cloud infrastructure services and technologies such as Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Databases
- Be involved in managing, improving and implementing Office 365 security, AD, Azure
- Assist in the design, installation, maintenance and support of network security measures to protect data, software and hardware.
- Assist in the design and implementation on-premise and offsite data storage and data backup operations.
- Assist in the design, testing and upkeep of all Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
- Design, configure, implement, monitor, test and audit critical information systems, backups and recovery systems.
Coordinating with vendors and contractors on a regular basis
Providing time-sensitive support to staff on issue escalations
Maintain and reviewing network and system logs for real-time analysis of performance and possible indicators of compromise
Working when needed out of business hours to reduce downtime and employee impact
Validation and documentation of high-level processes, and information system schematics
Undertaking IT related projects as assigned.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience working with SonicWALL Firewalls, Synology, NAS Devices, and Dell Servers
- VMWare and DR Utilities
- Strong work ethic

- Ability to take initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Must possess a valid G license and a vehicle

What\'s in it for you:

- Base salary of up to $120k
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- 2 weeks\' vacation
