Responsibilities:


Processing release of shipments for highway, rail, and ocean shipment electronically. Process , assemble and present paper release packages to Canada Border Services Agency. Engage customers and carriers by phone. Understand and work with the Document Management System Managing the teams Outlook email. Processing shipment information from Outlook to the GHY operating system. Draft and send emails to client and carriers for missing information and instructions. Arrange delivery of goods with freight forwarders and carriers. Arrange payment of charges pertaining to shipments. Present corrections to Canada Border Service Agency (RMD Corrections)




Required Skills:


Ability to read and understand Customs documents Knowledge of rating goods would be considered an asset Strong organization skills, able to prioritize work while keeping strict deadlines; Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel; Attention to detail, able to handle large volumes of work accurately; Strong problem-solving ability, comfortable to work independently; Ability to work effectively in a team environment; Effective communication skills; and Ability to perform daily job functions in mature and professional manner; Experience with ITMR4 would be an asset




Qualifications:


Completion of Grade 12 Education Working towards completion of the Intro to Customs Course Working towards CCS completion Previous experience in a Customs Brokerage or as part of a Logistics team.
