to join the Supply Chain Management team located in
Calgary.
You will use your knowledge of customs processes to ensure the movement of goods across borders with applicable customs documentation for military aerospace equipment.
Responsibilities:
Custom and Import/Export - This includes preparing export documents, export permit applications, and Import clearances. This will include assigning and validating tariff codes, Controlled Goods management, and Hazardous Goods (TDG) handling
Address any logistics related issues, such as delays, customs challenges, or production disruptions, and find solutions to minimize disruptions
Documentation for Department of National Defence (DND) and coordination with Accounting for invoicing around shipments
Other tasks may include physical packaging and movement of stock, creation of work orders in our custom software system, coordinating the shipment and receipt of goods, and ensuring on-time deliveries
Customer service focused with strong interpersonal skills
In addition to customs duties, you will be expected to be working in a warehouse environment assisting with material handling and shipping/receiving
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years minimum working with customs documentation
Minimum high school diploma
Computer literate and proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Customer service focused with strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Course completion of relevant customs related training
Transport of Military and/or Aerospace items and relevant tariff code knowledge
Knowledge of warehouse processes would be an asset
