Reporting to an Account Manager, the responsibilities will include:Responsibilities:
  • Analyze documents to determine applicable tariff, duty and tax rates;
  • Arranging deliveries on air & ocean shipments + payment of terminal fee's
  • Collection of supplementary information or documentation when required from customers, drivers, customs, and other offices;
  • Process and manage truck, rail, air and ocean container releases
  • Monitoring Document Management for Customs documents
  • Opening or amending client transactions and validating information;
  • Add, update and maintain item and rate codes;
  • Maintain accurate customs client information; and
  • Other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade XII or equivalent;
  • Post Secondary education;
  • Completion of Certified Customs Specialist Designation;
  • Ideally, 1+ years of Customs Brokerage experience;
  • Experience in applying tariff classification to products;
  • Keyboarding skills - numeric 150 characters per minute;
  • Ability to manipulate information in Excel
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work accurately;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Strong problem-solving ability;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Ability to prioritize work & time management skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Effective communication skills; and
  • Ability to perform daily job functions in mature and professional manner;
