Job Description


SUMMARY
The Logistics CSR is responsible for assisting the Logistics department staff with monitoring the availability and allocation of drivers and equipment. Duties include scheduling with departments and carriers to meet customer obligations. This position requires excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to adapt to new situations. *
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Assist with monitoring availability and allocation of equipment and drivers
  • Interpret customer needs and assist with formulating plans to meet those needs
  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities, or in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on the company
  • Monitor the carrier list to find those who offer best rates and schedules
  • identify, bill, and collect for carrier errors and surcharges
  • Assist accounts receivable by obtaining Proof of Delivery receipts
  • Monitor and track bond and security clearances
  • Other duties may be assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to new situations
  • Ability to use all Microsoft programs including Excel
