Job Description


Overview

As a member of the Customer Service Team this position is the primary contact for customers with the Corporation. The purpose of this position is to allow the Customer Service Team to meet its goals of responding to customer inquiries, receiving customer payments, processing customer movements and safeguarding the Corporations receivable assets through timely collection activity in a professional manner and in a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as main point of contact between customers and the Power Corporation
  • Accept payments and accurately enter on account.
  • Respond in a comprehensive manner to all customer inquires in person, over the phone and by written communication.
  • Accurate and timely completion of customer service orders.
  • Complete the collections process on the scheduled dates.
  • Utilize critical thinking and sound judgement in responding to customers and to identify urgent issues.
  • Responding to inquiries which may include questions about billing statements and account changes.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma and post-secondary certificate/diploma in Office/Business Administration with three or more years of office experience including accounts receivable and accepting payments made by cash, cheque, debit and credit cards; equivalencies may be considered.
  • Proficient in computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, computerized accounting systems and internet.
  • Must have a valid Northwest Territories Class 5 driver\'s license.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must manage time effectively, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check.
Salary for this position ranges from $35.21/hr-$42.81/hr., plus location allowance of $11,558 per annum. We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes health and dental benefits, long-term disability, life insurance, paid sick days and a defined benefits pension plan.
