We're looking for friendly and proactive team members to help create a welcoming space at Thinking Ceramic.

We're a cozy clay + coffee studio in downtown Halifax, where creativity meets comfort.
Customers can choose from simple clay handbuilding projects or paint-your-own ceramics, all while enjoying a relaxed drink in the studio.

Our goal is to create a fun, stress-free environment where people of all ages can slow down, get creative, and enjoy the moment.

We welcome friendly, easygoing team members who enjoy helping others and believe that everyone can be creative -- no pressure, no perfection needed. Training is provided.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by proactively engaging with customers, checking in on their needs, and offering support throughout their visit Welcome customers and clearly introduce our painting and handbuilding experiences Guide customers through their projects using simple instructions (training provided) Prepare and serve coffee and beverages from our set menu (training provided) Assist with check-in, payments, and customer questions (in person, phone) Maintain a clean and organized studio: wiping tables, rinsing brushes, restocking supplies, and supporting opening and closing routines Be willing to step in and help where needed during busy periods
Ideal Candidate

Friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with people Comfortable approaching customers and offering help

proactively

Reliable and takes responsibility for their shift and tasks Pottery experience is a plus, but not required (training provided) Experience in cafes, studios, or customer-facing roles is a bonus Available to work on weekends and some weekday evenings
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
