The Tuscan Kitchen has been providing Victoria with fine hand painted Italian ceramics, tableware, cookware, and Mediterranean foods for the past 25 years. We are a single location, family owned business that has been operating in Victoria since 1997. Our sales associates are expected to provide exceptional service to our customers. An appreciation of craftsmanship and hand work is essential. A love of Italy's food and culture is a great asset.
Responsibilities and Capabilities
The primary responsibility is to provide the customer with exceptional service. Many of our products are unique to our store. We will provide the required product knowledge. Any applicant must have, or be willing to develop, a broad knowledge of design and craft as well as kitchen tool uses and simple food preparation.
As our online presence is growing in scope and importance, experience and/ or interest in social media and online engagement is an asset. Applicants will have the opportunity to create posts for Facebook and Instagram. Creativity is essential along with the ability to maintain a consistent brand based on the history and luxury of Italian life and manufacturing excellence.
We are a small team and in addition to sales and customer service training, we will support you in further developing skills relevant to running a successful retail store. If you have previous experience and/or a keen interest and aptitude in marketing and merchandising, we look forward to what the future could hold.
Store Hours are between 10am and 6pm. There is a degree of flexibility in working hours, however some weekend shifts, as well as occasional afternoon/evening shifts are to be expected.
This is a permanent position of between 20-40 hours per week.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
