Fort Edmonton Park is seeking a visionary Management Supervisor of Guest Services, Marketing, and Sales to lead our vibrant team. What will you do?



Managing and overseeing staff recruitment, training, coaching, and performance within the unit Building a healthy and respectful workplace culture, including staff development, motivation, and empowerment Managing Labour Relations matters, including grievances, consultations, investigations, and discipline Identifying priorities and delegating tasks to staff within the business unit Developing and approving procedures and training plans related to customer engagement and transaction processing Managing issues related to labour relations, pay administration, and staff performance Determining staffing requirements, conducting recruitment, and making hiring and promotion decisions Ensuring effective staff communication regarding operational direction and impact of decisions Delivering monthly budget variance reporting, explanations, and forecasting Developing and forecasting operational budgets for new services and products Managing and approving all unit expenses as an authorized expenditure officer Providing oversight and accountability for revenue-generating products and strategic direction for customer experience and pricing

Qualifications

:Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Recreation or Museum Administration, Business, Marketing, Arts, Science or other related discipline Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience in recreation, facility management or other related discipline within a large complex organization Experience and skills in staff management, facility operations, financial management, labour relations, problem solving and strategic planning

Skills required for success:



Staff Management and Leadership:

Proven ability to supervise, direct, coach, mentor, and evaluate program managers and coordinators, fostering high-performing teams and a positive work culture. This includes experience in recruitment, hiring, retention, and addressing labor relations issues

Program and Service Development:

Demonstrated skills in problem-solving for program and service development, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management that aligns with organizational vision, mission, and targets

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:

Expertise in collaborating with internal and external partners, including communications partners and diverse community groups, to amplify program awareness and respond to varied needs. This also involves representing management in grievance hearings

Financial and Operational Oversight:

Conditions of employment & work environment:



Up to: 1 permanent full-time position Hours of work: 36.9 hours per week, Monday - Friday Salary: $105,668.31 - $132,083.94 (Annually) This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite This position is eligible for the EDO program (Earned Day Off) Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check, including a Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement
