About our Team

You will become part of the West and Canada Academic Account Team. We are a diverse and enthusiastic team of professionals that manage sales and customer relationships with major universities in Canada and the western US states. Our mission is to improve the customer\xe2\x80\x99s perception of Elsevier every day.

About the Role

You will engage librarians, researchers, and faculty at universities to support ScienceDirect.com and Scopus.com, our world-renowned research portals. You will also manage customer engagement planning, develop and implement events and conduct seminars on campuses. Primarily responsible for engaging with our valued customers to improve their overall Elsevier experience. You will often travel 50% or more of the time within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the customer satisfaction leader for universities in Canada. Improve user and decision-maker\xe2\x80\x99s perception of the critical value of our core services to the missions of the school.
  • Ensure value and use of the Elsevier core products portfolio. Assure customer satisfaction to maximize customer retention. Customer Consultants are integral part of the renewal planning and negotiations.
  • Work with the account manager to strategize, analyze and execute a renewal plan support the primary goal of retaining happy customers.
  • Provide in-depth product training, support, and guidance to ensure our core solutions positively impact their research and STEM education outcomes.
Requirements
  • Experience working within an academic scientific research environment or academic library environment helpful
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to evaluate and present complex information.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (including written and virtual skills).
  • Experience using complex enterprise software tools.
  • Have a passion for customer engagement, drive, enthusiasm, and energy is a must!
  • Have a background in working in a matrix organization with internal and external stakeholders
