This dual role reports to both the Customer Care Manager and the Construction Manager but focuses primarily on ensuring homes are ready for possession with zero deficiencies, conducting warranty inspections and managing trade days to ensure warranty concerns are dealt with in a timely manner, as well as managing after-hours emergency calls. When warranty duties permit, this dual role also works with the construction teams to complete site tasks and support the field team, such as QC inspections during the course of construction, frame checks, and other duties as assigned.
Role & Responsibilities:
Inspect homes prior to possession dates for any deficiencies.
Meet with clients on possession date and pre-occupancy to ensure quality of product.
List any customer concerns.
Conduct warranty inspections with clients at their pre-appointed warranty dates.
Organize and manage trade days to ensure warranty items are dealt with.
Hands-on with tools to repair warranty issues.
Answer emergency calls post possession.
Assist with show home set up.
Assist with storage and maintenance of Cantiro assets.
Fulfill Sales Team showhome service requests.
Assisting with Construction Team by:
Completing minor finishing work.
Completing basic adjustments including doors, cabinets, etc., minor paint touch ups, applying silicone, and basic drywall and taping/patch repair.
Intake, direct and move building material around and out of job site.
Maintain site cleanliness, including sweeps at pre-determined construction stages, and ensure area is ready for next trade.
Supervise temporary workers.
General site maintenance, fencing, machines, trailer.
Seasonal maintenance, e.g. snow removal when required.
Assist team with any other required tasks.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
Minimum 4+ years' experience in residential construction/renovation.
General knowledge of Alberta Building Code and Construction Performance Guide for New Home Warranty in Alberta.
Class 5 Driver's License, a clean driver's abstract, and a reliable vehicle is required (vehicle allowance provided).
Personal hand tools that include basic cordless tools.
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated, team-player, organized and proactive.
Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to effectively and efficiently solve problems.
Work with minimal direct supervision.
