Job Summary

Numinus Bioscience is a licensed laboratory located in British Columbia. We are seeking a full time custodian to join us in our facility. It is one of the largest research facilities in Western Canada and a global leader in psychedelic research. Its purpose is to research and develop psychedelic formulations and methods, led by a team of specialized scientists using state-of-the-art equipment. Numinus Bioscience holds a Controlled Drugs and Substances license issued by Health Canada, through which it works with a range of psychedelic substances, including DMT, ketamine, LSD, MDMA, mescaline, psilocybin, psilocin.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO

Cleaning / Maintaining:

• Wash and sanitize lab floors, work surfaces, and instruments.
• Conduct regular facility sanitation measures.
• Perform routine cleaning for all common areas (Lab, office, washroom, kitchen, hallways).
• Remove waste from the lab.
• Undertake routine maintenance of air handling units, and complete basic maintenance such as painting, drywall patching, and more.
• Maintain, order, and receive cleaning supplies and Personal Protective Equipment.
• Other duties as needed.

Administration/Compliance:

• Complete daily documentation related to cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Assist in appropriate recordkeeping for tax purposes and audits as required in accordance with Corporate Finance policies .
• Adhere to corporate finance policies for record keeping .

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Develops and works toward set deadlines.
• Can identify project goals and track progress.
• Ability to work independently and identify next steps.
• Can think big picture and long term.

Job requirements

Position Requirements:

• Passion for organization and creating and maintaining cleaning systems and schedules.
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a laboratory or production environment.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work effectively and reliably under pressure and tight timelines.
• Able to wear PPE, including Tyvek suit and mask, for most of the workday.
• Comfortable lifting and carrying boxes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities.
