ABOUT THE POSITION
Nahanni Construction Ltd. is hiring a Camp Custodian to work on a rotational schedule in a live-in camp environment. The Camp Custodian would work on a rotational schedule on a two (2) weeks on / two (2) weeks off rotation. The position would be for the duration of the project.
Compensation dependant on experience; position includes comprehensive benefits package.
SCOPE
- Maintain the highest sanitary standards are maintained in all areas of responsibility in accordance with company, client, and governmental requirement
- Ability to clean rooms to company standard and adhere to room inspection requirements
- Wash, sort, count, fold and distribute linens and towels, make beds to company standard
- Clean lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridor
- Sweep and mop floor
- Vacuum/clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- Dust furniture
- Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork
- Wash windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets and pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Assist with laundry as needed
- Experience working in a camp environment.
- The successful candidate will have 1 or more years of housekeeping experience in large hotel/resort style or camp/lodges
- 1 or more years experience working as a janitor/custodian
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Forward thinking
- Comfortable working in a sub-Arctic camp environment; will be required to walk outdoors around the camp
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Manual lifting of up to 25 lbs required
