We are a vibrant community living on a stunning remote island in British Columbia, and we are all about great food, sustainability, and the great community of people that comes with island life. We are on the lookout for passionate people who want to create while connecting with our friendly community. If you love using fresh, local ingredients and have an open, energetic and laid-back style, we would love to have you on board!

What You Will Do:

Whip up creative, seasonal items that showcase the best of our local seafood, produce, and unique goodies from our local area Build awesome relationships with staff, vendors and community members Join a small kitchen crew, sharing your skills and helping everyone grow in their culinary journey Make our cafe and dining space feel welcoming and inclusive--this is all about community! Chat with guests about the stories behind your dishes, building and connecting the community to each other in our little slice of pacific island paradise Organize fun events and community gatherings to bring everyone together over great food Help keep our kitchen clean, safe, and dynamically growing every season

What We Are Looking For:

Experience in many areas of the kitchen, bonus points for lead roles as a chef, menu designer, and catering or pop up experience Our ideal candidate will have a focus on community-driven cooking A culinary degree is great, but we value experience and passion just as much! A good grasp of local, seasonal ingredients and a commitment to sustainability Understanding the interplay between quality, cost, and value. We want to take great care of our community with great quality dishes at good value! Someone who always takes a friendly, approachable, and gentle approach to others. We thrive on high EQ people, emotionally mature people --both in the kitchen and out A creative spirit and enthusiasm for dishes that represent you and our community Willing to embrace island living and work closely with a small, tight-knit team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
