DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The cook* assists the sous chef by carrying out various tasks involved in preparing dishes. In particular, they set up the kitchen, prepare dishes, assemble plates and ensure that work spaces are kept clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare the ingredients necessary for preparing dishes;
  • Set up the workstation in preparation for the various services;
  • Prepare, cook and season dishes following recipes and applying appropriate techniques;
  • Assemble plates while ensuring compliance with dish presentation standards;
  • Apply hygiene and sanitation standards;
  • Put into practice occupational health and safety standards;
  • Perform all other related tasks related to the kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • DEP in establishment cooking or any other training deemed relevant;
  • Strong interest in teamwork;
  • Thoroughness;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Good sense of organization;
  • Good communication skills, in French and English, both oral and written.
