Our Hinton Pulp Division is seeking an individual with strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills to fill the following position:

CRITICAL SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, the Critical Systems Coordinator will be responsible for key infrastructure systems such as fire systems, natural gas systems, cranes, elevators, and other related assets. As a member of this high performing team, you will be responsible for working safely within the pulp mill. Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage workplace safety for you and your contractors
  • Maintain the integrity of fire systems including underground firewater piping, firewater pumps, fire hydrants, PIV\xe2\x80\x99s, sprinkler systems
  • Administer all required weekly/monthly/annual testing of the fire system
  • Build and implement a crane, elevator, and natural gas system maintenance program
  • Develop and manage Capital and Major Maintenance projects relating to the Fire Systems, Elevators and Cranes.
  • Administer the Hinton Pulp Insurance Audit program
The successful candidate will possess:
  • A valid diploma or degree from an accredited post-secondary institution; Mechanical Technologist certification or Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering would be an asset
  • Experience in an industrial environment with ownership of infrastructure systems
  • A proven ability to build and implement systems
  • Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Have the desire to learn, grow, and succeed
