SUMMARY

The Critical Environments Electrical Manager is responsible for the research, development, implementation, deployment and ongoing management of the corporate critical environment program within one or a few select accounts.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Researches, develops, implements, deploys and manages the critical environment program for assigned account(s).

\xc2\xa7 Works in cooperation with site management, client team members and/or subcontractors to implement critical environment-specific operations and maintenance strategies.

\xc2\xa7 Leads the implementation of the critical environment program for assigned account(s). Executes the critical environment strategy in cooperation with the customer\'s team and/or critical subcontractors.

\xc2\xa7 Leverages information technology, resources, and processes while delivering cost effective services.

\xc2\xa7 Ensures that all personnel associated with the critical sites are trained and competent in order to perform in a well-planned executed fashion, sharing in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations and facilities.

\xc2\xa7 Provides leadership, advice and expertise to meet all service level agreements, key performance indicators and facility uptime objectives.

\xc2\xa7 Implements operations procedures, document management protocols, capacity planning, change management, risk mitigation support, disaster recovery support, incident reporting, point of delivery analysis, etc.

\xc2\xa7 Executes account level quality assurance program and ensures delivery of services meets or exceeds the requirements set out in the statement of work of the contract and complies with internal BGIS policies and standard operating procedures.

\xc2\xa7 Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients.

\xc2\xa7 Conducts operational and infrastructure risk assessments for critical environments as part of an ongoing risk reductions process.

\xc2\xa7 Investigates and determines root cause of equipment failures.

\xc2\xa7 Provides recommendations to clients for upgrading equipment and maintenance routines to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.

• Researches through various networks for technological changes and industry best practices.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• University graduation or professional certification (e.g.P. Eng, CMA, CGA or equivalent courses).
• More than five years up to ten years of job-related experience.
• Demonstrated experience in mission critical facilities and operations with a focus on data centers and\\or the telecommunications industry.

\xc2\xa7 Excellent at planning and organizing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingualism would be considered an asset.

\xc2\xa7 Knowledge of building standards and requirements.

\xc2\xa7 Knowledge of mission critical procedures, reliability, programs and policies.

\xc2\xa7 Knowledge of industry best practices relating to mission critical infrastructure.

\xc2\xa7 Strong skills at documenting and communicating/training procedures, job tasks, etc.

\xc2\xa7 Ability to implement & deploy critical facilities riskmanagement programs.

\xc2\xa7 Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, life safety and security systems found in CE environments.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

• P.Eng. would be considered an asset
• Certified Data Centre Professional, CET (Mechanical or Electrical), and/or HVAC or Electrical Interprovincial Trade license.
