Position Overview



We are hiring a Crew Lead Painter who will run job sites, manage time and production budgets, communicate with clients, and paint directly alongside the crew.

This is a hands on leadership role. You lead through action, craftsmanship, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to pace a job properly, hit daily targets, maintain high quality, and keep the crew moving with clarity and purpose.

What You Will Do



Lead the Job Site

Set the tone for professionalism and pace.

Assign tasks based on strengths and priorities.

Keep the team focused, organized, and accountable.

Paint Alongside the Crew

Prep, masking, patching, sanding, cutting, rolling, finishing.

You lead by doing, demonstrating the company's standard each day.

Maintain Quality Control

Complete the required checklist each day and send daily progress reports to the Project Manager or owner.

Inspect prep, cut lines, rolling consistency, cleanliness, and protection.

Ensure the finished work reflects Colour Your Life's exceptional standards.

Manage Time and Production Budgets

Plan the daily workflow with intention.

Understand the job's time budget and keep production on pace.

Motivate the team to hit targets while maintaining quality.

Identify bottlenecks and solve problems quickly.

Take pride in crushing production goals responsibly and professionally.

Communicate with Clients



Greet clients professionally and respectfully.

Provide confident updates when needed.

Protect the client experience at all times.

Maintain Cleanliness and Safety



Ensure floors and furniture are protected properly.

Keep tools and materials organized.

Maintain a clean job site throughout the day.

Drive Efficiency



Keep production moving steadily.

Manage materials, tools, and equipment.

Ensure the crew knows what to do and where to go next.

Requirements



Minimum 3 to 5 years residential painting experience.

Leadership or crew lead experience preferred.

Strong cutting, rolling, prep, and finishing skills.

High attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Ability to follow and enforce SOPs and checklists.

Strong time management and production pacing skills.

Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Strong communication with clients and team members.

Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (a company vehicle will be provided to the right candidate after probation period).

Clean and professional appearance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week

Work Location: In person
