Our courses cover a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to social services, business, and health. These courses are offered in a variety of formats on campus, online, in the workplace, and in the community.About the RoleThe Faculty of Continuing Education invites applications for a The Education Professional contract instructor in the . This 45-hour introductory course introduces students to the pressures and expectations of the classroom environment. Students learn the professional code of conduct, current concepts and best practice in teaching and learning, and link academic learning to a school practicum placement.We are seeking instructors with the ability to teach the following course(s):Course description:Be introduced to the demands and expectations of a classroom environment. Discover how to prepare for the possible challenges and rewards of the role of an education assistant.Days & Times Offered:January 6 - March 17, 2025: Online with weekly synchronous Google MeetsResponsibilitiesInstruction: Prepare course outline, online lecture presentation, facilitate course delivery using approved curriculum and learning materials, review and revision of course assessments.Administration: Marking and submission of course grades. Maintain regular contact with program administrative team, participate in meetings, and adhere to program policies and deadlines.Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master\'s degree with K-12 teaching experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of subject area
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Teaching experience in an adult education environment is preferred
